Storyline:
Kapoor & Sons is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film stars an ensemble cast including Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak, Rajat Kapoor, Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt. The film is scheduled for release on March 18, 2016.Rahul and Arjun Kapoor, two estranged brothers are forced to return to their childhood home when their 90-year-old Grandpa wants to see them then gets a heart attack. While living under one roof, family secrets unravel and misunderstandings are on the verge of turning into tragedy. Rahul and Arjun both fall in love with the same girl. Which is where the problem starts.
In earlier 2015, Karan Johar announced his next film which will be titled "Kapoor & Sons" which will feature Alia Bhatt as the lead actress, with Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Johar said in an interview "We have a very stylish star cast".The movie revolves around two brothers played by Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Rishi Kapoor will be playing grandfather of the male leads.
The music for the film is composed by Amaal Mallik, Badshah, Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Tanishk Bagchi. The background score is given by Sameer Uddin. The lyrics are penned by Badshah, Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Dr. Devendra Kafir and Abhiruchi Chand. Sony Music Indiahave acquired the music rights of the film.
The movie's first song "Kar Gayi Chull", a party song, was released on 17 February 2016.
